CCB’s Weekly Interview
Find out how our Master 1 students experienced their first months within the CEMS community. This week, we’re glad to have Anne-Sophie sharing his story with us.
- Anne-So, when did you take the decision to apply for the CEMS?
I took my decision when I was looking for more information about the potential master degrees in International Business in December 2015.
- Why for the CEMS in particular?
The CEMS program offers you the chance to develop skills you couldn’t develop in another Master degree. What makes CEMS particular is that you benefit from small-group lessons where you get the chance to share your ideas with others. Moreover, thanks to diverse “skills seminars”, you get the opportunity to train your soft skills and practice “real-life” business cases. Besides that, the multicultural focus (internship and exchange(s) abroad) is also very exciting. CEMS’ diversity is a not-to-be-missed learning opportunity. CEMS is also well known for the tremendous opportunities it offers for your future career thanks to a privileged relation with corporate partners. However, CEMS goes beyond career prospects in a sense that it shapes a real sense of community among students thanks to the large range of activities organized in your school but also abroad.
- Did you join the CEMS club? If yes, why?
Last semester, I committed myself to the CSR team. It was a great opportunity
to meet other students. Moreover, I really enjoyed organizing some events with
other teammates around topics I am passionate for. This semester, I am an
Alumni Team member. To me, encouraging and promoting connections
between the current CEMSies and Alumni through diverse events represents a
huge opportunity for enhancing the CEMS network.
- Tell us about the event you enjoyed the most so far
The best event was probably the Meet&Greet organized last week. Current CEMS students were given the opportunity to meet Alumni over a drink and discuss not only about their experience as a former CEMS student, but also about their professional path.
- Anne-So, would you advise Bachelor students to apply for the CEMS?
I would definitely advise students eager to be challenged in a multicultural environment.
